A post overdue
So, I passed Spanish. I was rather concerned that I would not pass the class, therefore having to take it over. Through the grapevine, I had heard that my department would take a D as a passing grade, which after the final, I was convinced I would have one.
The final was BRUTAL. It was 150 points which was quite a chunk of the final grade. Thirty of that came from a listening section in which I did rather well, nailing 30 of the 30 points. Then the rest of the final was 120 points.
That, didn't go so well.
I blistered it with a 67.5 of 120 points. Oh yeah, I'm fluent....not. I knew things weren't going to go well when all of the different verb tenses blew up in my face. My head was a mess thanks to the stress of the tenses. To top it off, the guy that proctored the final woke up in asshole mode. I looked his name up and he's not even in the department. He showed up in a suit and tie for a spanish final at 8 in the morning on a SATURDAY. Not only that, but he struck me as having a chip on his shoulder. I don't take well to verbal abuse when I'm stressed out.
Despite everything that went horribly wrong on the final, I ended up with a C for the class. I passed somehow, someway, but I'm not going to argue.
I did it!

A New Record!
It's a new record for me as I have finished all of my christmas shopping by Dec. 15. Unbelievable. I'm shocked. Usually, I wait (or don't have time) to shop until around the 17th. This year, I managed to kill it all off by today. I'm shocked.
I didn't even have to go into a bath shop. That's pretty good not to have be drugged by the smells coming from one of those establishments.
My question is....why can't people read checkout signs that say 20 items or less?

That's how I feel. I'm on my favorite diet of OJ, ibuprofen, robitussin and nyquil. I will lick this shit before it licks me.
This week has been
Busy.
Last night it was games number 7 and 8 for the week. Who knows how many I will have tomorrow? All I do know is that I have a spanish final at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. Yes. An exam on a Saturday morning. I'm convinced there are laws against that sort of thing.
The worst part? It's a block final designed by the department. Not by our individual teachers, but by the people who aren't in the classrooms. If things go badly, there will be letters written to people in charge. I'm already beginning to sharpen my pen!

That's my advice for the month of December.
Yesterday, as I was in a hurry to head down to get my new sticker for my license plate, I realized I had left my insurance card. I hopped out of my explorer and took one step. The next thing I knew I was on the ground with my head in a bush. I landed on my right arm, so the first thing I check as I jumped out of the snow, was to see if my collarbone was still intact. It was, and I mumbled that I would feel the fall.
My ankle is fine, now it's as if I was hit with a bat in my right arm and shoulder.
So, don't fall.
